Durga Chalisa — Lyrics in English with Meaning
The Shri Durga Chalisa, beginning 'Namo Namo Durge Sukh Karni', was written by the poet Devidas. Its forty chaupais describe the many forms of Maa Durga and her victories over the demons. Each verse below is in English letters, in Devanagari, and explained in plain English.
It is recited on all nine days of Navratri, on Ashtami and every Friday, with a lamp lit in the morning or evening puja.
