Jai saraswati mata, maiya jai saraswati mata ।
Sadgun vaibhav shalini, tribhuvan vikhyata ॥

Victory to you, Maa Saraswati; full of good qualities and splendour, you are famous in all three worlds.

Chandravdani padmasini, dyuti mangalkari ।
Sohe shubh hans savari, atul tejdhari ॥

The radiance of the moon-faced Mother seated on a lotus brings blessings; the swan she rides looks beautiful and her brilliance is matchless.

Baen kar men vina, daen kar mala ।
Shish mukut mani sohe, gal motiyan mala ॥

A veena in the left hand, a mala in the right, a jewelled crown on the head and a pearl necklace at the neck.

Devi sharan jo ae, unka uddhar kiya ।
Paithi manthra dasi, ravan sanhar kiya ॥

Those who came to the Devi's shelter were uplifted; it was you who entered Manthara's mind (moving the Ram katha forward) and brought about Ravan's end.

Vidya gyan pradayini, gyan prakash bharo ।
Moh agyan aur timir ka, jag se nash karo ॥

O giver of learning and knowledge, fill us with the light of knowledge and destroy delusion, ignorance and darkness from the world.

Dhup dip phal meva, man swikar karo ।
Gyanachakshu de mata, jag nistar karo ॥

O Mother, accept the dhoop, deep, fruit and dry fruits; give the eye of knowledge and uplift the world.

Man saraswati ki arti, jo koi jan gave ।
Hitkari sukhkari, gyan bhakti pave ॥
