Lord, you are sandal and I am water — your fragrance has filled every part of me.
Prabhu ji, tum ghan ban ham mora, jaise chitvat chand chakora ।
You are the cloud and I am the peacock who dances on seeing you; as the chakor gazes at the moon.
Prabhu ji, tum dipak ham bati, jaki joti barai din rati ॥
You are the lamp and I am the wick, whose flame burns day and night.
Prabhu ji, tum moti ham dhaga, jaise sonhin milat suhaga ।
You are the pearl and I am the thread; as borax mixed with gold makes it shine.
Prabhu ji, tum swami ham dasa, aisi bhakti karai raidasa ॥
You are the master and I the servant — such is the devotion of Raidas.
